It seems obvious to me that the people who come here FROM Mexico are fleeing from Mexico's economy, prison system, class structure and economic disparity.

Which is not to say that they are incapable of attempting to replicate the same here, if only from a failure of imagination.

But the beauty of the American system is that they cannot replicate Mexico's economy, prison system, class structure or economic disparity here, even if they wanted to (I think they don't).
