Ed: I agree with your point on Exxon/Mobil. Valero on the other hand would be hedging themselves. Their not big in oil exploration and production that I know of? They are a big buyer of crude. They also must be a big buyer of ethanol since MTBE's demise. Someone like an Amerada Hess could also prove interesting since they have an East coast and refinery and storage and distribution facilities along the East coast.
