I see the Dell announcement in the same way. Only this time the PR impact to Intel is negative.

I don't know. I agree it won't hurt INTC's bottomline in the short term, but in the long term, it might be a very different story. With this news, AMD got a bit of credibility it never had before and its started a relationship with DELL, still the largest PC manufacturer. Its an important entree that AMD never had before and can capitalize on.......or blow. The old AMD would likely blow it but the new AMD has slowly been moving up over the past ten years. Long term, INTC could be in more trouble than its ever been.
