that worked out real well for GTW. Gateway had (has) a host of problems that go beyond their retail stores. Their labor expense was high because it took a lot of incentive to get people to move to North Souix City South Dakota once the local population was fully employed. They were also on the wrong side of the Intel-Microsoft agreements and got their boards from Intel many months after Dell (in an industry where a design was only new for 6 months total). Finally, there seems to be less mall competition from Radio Shack, so maybe there is an opportunity after all. TP
