Kerry has the best plan for Iraq, see his website for details. He and Murtha are the only major politicians with smart, realistic, well thought-out plans, though Bush has us in such a deep mess it's going to be a painful process no matter what. Hopefully the troops being killed now are not dying in vain, though it's hard to deny that could be the case. In fact, things in Iraq seem to be degrading more and more, not getting better, and our presence there may be the #1 most destabilizing effect.

Kerry is with Kennedy-McCain on illegal immigration, and so apparently is Bush. There is no real solution for illegal immigration, just damage control.

Kerry does have a plan to reduce the deficit. and if he were president we really would be cutting in in half by 2008 as opposed to widening it as Bush is doing. Bush lied many times about cutting the deficit in half. Instead it's growing with no plan for how to narrow it. Yes, Kerry would raise taxes on affluent Americans. And he would end the Iraq War, corporate welfare, profiteering privatization, pork barrel spending, high drug costs and the energy gouging as well. All those would add up to about a 400 billion savings per year.
