Dumbya congratulates the latest Iraqi government... Calling Bush "Dumbya" or "Chimp" is rather childish and silly, IMO. Same goes for name calling from the right. Whatever his faults, and as a libertarian I see plenty to be disillusioned with, he is the President and deserves to be addressed as such. As for Iraq, I was ambivalent about the US getting involved in the first place, but see an orderly disengagement as being the only rational and viable policy to pursue at present. Our being in Iraq is neither a smashing success or an unmitigated disaster. It's a messy and expensive situation that needs to be resolved over time, unfortunately. An immediate cut and run, as proposed by some, would leave an explosive and dangerous void in the region, with negative consequences beyond those currently being experienced. Again, I'm not at all happy with many of Bushes policies and feel the same towards the current GOP leadership. Time will tell how things wash out...
