I understand where you are coming from Rich. And to a certain degree I agree. As it stands now, it would take another 9/11 type attack to get the looney left slightly more serious about the GWOT. That's because the MSM & DNC are so desperate to damage the Bush Admin by any means necessary they have thoroughly misled the public about the real threat we face.

However, it would be good for the GWOT if we did crush the terrorists in both Afghanistan & Iraq. I believe that if we do crush them there, a new front will open up somewhere else because as you & I know Al Qaeda is not going to quit until they have been thoroughly defeated time & time again.

If we do crush them in Afghanistan & Iraq, it would discredit the lying, sniveling MSM & DNC for starters. Granted, it would not faze hard core leftists, but it would impact a huge number of more moderate folks. It wouldn't matter if they continue lying & deceiving us anymore. Enough folks will know by then what the MS & DNC are doing because their house of cards will crumble in full view for everyone to see.

It would also be a crushing psychological defeat for Al Qaeda & other terror groups with regional/global reach. It may even force them to take more desperate acts. That would/should expose them for the extremist, bloodthirsty lunatics they are to even more people worldwide. And even if they take the opposite approach & retreat & rebuild, the next time they strike even more people will want to see them destroyed where they live rather than fight them at home.

Either way it would help get the American public to more widely support this long war that will indeed be fought on many fronts.
