So your strike price was at 10. I certainly would cover them now. This would lock in a gross profit of 11/16. Not bad profit considering the situation! I would then sell the stock at 7 1/2, or wait until it moves up further before writing another round of options.

You made a good point in that this option would not trade when the stock moved down and hit 6 1/2. I was not aware that your option hit 1/16.
