Well, how would you identify it? My gut responds to two different gleams in politicians. One is the aforementioned messianic variety and the other is the sanctimonious one. The former looks more rapt and the latter looks more smarmy. I don't vote for anyone with either. Fortunately, most politicians are to busy playing politics to gleam. <g>
