I hope you are right. From what I have read, neither Garcia or even Humala have made any statements as radical as Morales did during elections and he is apparently now making good on his promises.

OTOH, I worked with some Canadian drillers late last year that had been in Peru for 13 years working at Yanacocha. They pulled out last year, because they no longer felt safe, although they generally enjoyed living there. I wish I had asked them more questions, but wasn't thinking investments at the time.

I don't have any investments in Peru presently, though I may if I catch the right entry on BCM. I do have a lot of money invested in Ecuador, so I am trying to keep track of things in that neighborhood.
