I sold real estate all during that spike. I don't recall a 60 million dollar sale. it is possible though.... But prices are more stratospheric now. There are literally hundreds of thousands of beachfront cottages being offered in the $3,00,000 plus range across the US. This mania extends to just about anything waterfront...lake, ocean, river, alligator pond..
