Event to Educate Congressional Staff on Biometric Technologies Integral to Homeland Security

WASHINGTON, May 23 /PRNewswire/ --

What: The Homeland Security Committee of the U.S. House of
Representatives and the International Biometric Industry
Association (IBIA) will host a "Biometric Tech Fair" to educate
members of Congress on biometric technologies integral to
homeland security, commercial and consumer applications. During
this event, which is open to the public, members of Congress and
congressional staff will receive technology demonstrations by
IBIA member companies. Attendees will also participate in an
issues forum luncheon led by biometric technology experts,
including Walter Hamilton of Saflink.

Who: Walter Hamilton is Vice President and General Manager of
Biometric Solutions at Saflink. Hamilton is an authority on
biometric standards and currently serves as Chairman and
President of the IBIA and Chairman of the Biometric Foundation.
