wsj "...Early Tuesday, Sycamore Networks Inc. disclosed that on May 19, the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission informed the company that it has commenced a formal investigation related to certain stock options granted by the company during calendar years 1999 through 2001 that were erroneously accounted for under GAAP. Sycamore said it had previously instituted and completed an independent investigation into this matter and subsequently restated financial results for fiscal years 2000 through 2004 and for the first two quarters of fiscal 2005. The Chemlsford, Mass., optical-networking company said it will continue to cooperate fully with the SEC...." no doubt this is keeping a lid on today but i guess i'm thinking this is old news although worst case there could be a fine. but geez it can't be near as important as the revenue growth...
