Perhaps I misunderstood. I only gave the image thing a quick and perhaps sloppy glance.

What's been made available is the ability to insert an image via a link to that image. I had the impression that there would be a future phase where the actual image could be embedded. I was looking forward to embedding, say, a screen capture of part of an image. When you're making a point and want to refer to some data, it's useful to be able to include a picture of just that part of a chart. It's a way to get around table alignment problems with a text copy, too. If that's not in the plans, that's cool, but I had gotten the impression that it was.
