You are a nasty bastard but we agree on this issue for the most part. I think the true test is whether they take bilingualism seriously for their kids and understand the importance of their learning english. My wife the "liberal" third grade teacher says this is not always the case with the mexicans and central americans (both legal and illegal) in her class. If these folks want rights here and benefits they need to play by the rules. They may see no need for themselves to bother themselves learning english but they need to do it for their kids. Otherwise the Minutemen will seet them not as the hard working folks they are but as intruders who are not bonding with their new country. Thats why waving the mexican flag in the first march galled so many who might have been sympathetic.
