I just addressed that issue. The record indicates that it was not a consensus of mainstream scientists who were predicting global cooling in the 1970s. It was, in fact, a few outside the mainstream scientists who published their dire warnings in tabloids, not peer-reviewed scientific journals. Global warming now enjoys an overwhelming majority of mainstream scientists who predict it will happen and are publishing their predicitions in peer-reviewed scientific journals. A big difference. Like the difference between peer-reviewed scientific research into cosmology and UFOlogy research in UFO magazines.

Ignore the predicts if you must, but just sell any low land that might be flooded, you were warned.
