I travel occasionally in an SUV myself. Why? It's the only thing what will fit 7 people. I squash my own family in to our little civic (even though they protest)- but when my kids have guests we use the Pilot. I don't know any politician who travels with a lot of people who doesn't use an SUV or a limo. I don't think picking on that facet of Gore's life (or any other politician's life) is logical. Now if the messenger drives himself around solo in a Humvee or something let me know. Because that would be funny. But the motorcade thing doesn't work for me.
