SAN FRANCISCO, May 24 - PPM Energy, a unit of utility Scottish Power, said on Wednesday it will build a 100-megawatt wind power project near Arlington, Oregon.
PPM, which is based in Portland, Oregon, said the project is expected to be in operation later this year and will generate electricity for more than 30,000 homes.
The project will use 67 General Electric turbines.
PPM is in discussions with an unidentified customer for full output from the operation, it said in a release.
PPM has more than 1,700 megawatts of wind power in operation or under construction, including a project near the Arlington site. |
