Someone dropped way over $1MM on short-term way-out-of-the-money options (the June 60s).

If there is a leak and the buyer is an tipee, he/she will make a lot of money and do time.

If it is spec buy, it has to be one of the dumbest buys of all time (there were three very large purchases within 5 minutes right after 2PM). The trader that I heard from said that he had never seen a purchase like today's.

A third (and much weirder) theory is that a big current owner bought the options to start a rumor and thereby increase the common to unload.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
