That was my thought too. I do think that other buyers might make sense here too. The original rumor was JNJ - although I do not see the full fit as much of JNJ's revenues come from true biotech products (CNTO's Remicade and their EPO version). PFE is today's rumor. GSK has come up from time to time, and lastly, I actually have now convinced myself over last few weeks (actually) that SGP may make most sense given their under-utilized cost base (another way of saying most synergies).

BUT I now think it likely some news is going to break very shortly. The volume in the calls was 4-5 MM shares and the stock volume was 5 million which takes us well north of normal levels, all of this done with unreasonably high vols (of course I had just sold some SEPR June 50s for only $1.50 or so as I became convinced the stock would flatline for awhile - now the 60s are almost as much and only on a $2.50 move from low to high). There is way too much smoke here for there not to be fire. It would be interesting if a stuck long did this to get out of stock.
