Sara Lee gives its timetable for spinoff

"Many find summer an appropriate time to shed clothing. Sara Lee Corp.'s figuring that to be the case in timing the spinoff of its Branded Apparel unit, announcing plans to complete the move between June and September.

The Hanesbrands Inc. business, which includes Hanes, Playtex, Bali, Champion and Wonderbra brands, had $4.7 billion in sales in fiscal 2005.

Chicago-based Sara Lee won't own any of the shares following the spinoff, the company said in a Wednesday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission..."
