It sounds like you at least have an open mind about such things. Chelation is a controversial subject and there has been a lot written about it.

I have Atherosclerosis and in the fall of 2002 I had an angiogram and they found one artery nearly closed so they put in a stent. They said another artery was 80% clogged and would soon need a stent but they would do it at I later date.
I resolved right then to find a better way and started EDTA Chelation Therapy.

I went through an initial round of 25 IV Chelation Therapy treatments and have continued since by having one IV per month to maintain the improvement that I experienced. My exercise tolerance has steadily improved and I have no symptoms of heart troubles so, for me, it seems to be helping.

Of course I also eat a low fat diet, take numerous supplements and exercise daily.
