I opened accounts at IB but I never funded them. I ran into a number of problems during the process and I finally got so fed up that I decided not to go forward. Meanwhile, E*Trade seems to be making an effort to address some of the problems that have plagued them in the past, so I thought I would give them another chance. Apparently IB has a great platform and if you can put up with the poor customer service, then it's worth it. Maybe my tolerance level is lower than others! They are located in Chicago, by the way.
