Well, we all know that all kinds of human tragedies occur because of "greater priorities". And hindsight is always 20/20..

Personally, I think one of the biggest mistakes was to place an Arab King in charge of Trans-Jordan. If they were going to create a Jewish and Palestinian partition, a greater portion of the Hashemite kingdom should have been provided..

Not that it would have truly made any difference probably. The Arabs living in that state, to my understanding, really didn't identify themselves as "Palestinians" until Arafat came upon the scene.

Aside from geographical location, I have yet to hear anyone tell me how to differentiate a "Palestinian" from a Lebanese, a Syrian, Saudi, or an Iraqi.
