The local news reporters are saying that Skilling has the cash to make bail but the reason that Lay was so late coming out of the courthouse is that he needed the deeds of his family members homes to come up with the 1/2 mil bond. Could they run off?... yeah, but not likely because they both already have an appeals lawyers lined up and paid for... it's cash in advance for those guys.
