There where "front line" black states against both Rhodesia and S. Africa as well.

I'll admit that Israel lived in a far more dangerous military environment in prior years, while the whites of southern Africa were more at a numerical disadvantage within their own country. Those are significant differences.

However, now, Israels military is clearly without peer in the region, especially given the nuke situation. They have no fear of being over run. The problem now is the same faced by Americans in Iraq, or the British in N. Ireland. Low level violence.
