marcos; Fence them in tighter. In a way they are right, they just try not to depress the stock when they sell, and even to make a slight uptick so at days end their fund has a better value. Only the SH in the fund benefit along with the other SH of that stock in general.
And in a way they are wrong. They are a big tail and they wag the dog. So they want to exit and not cause a price drop. They should all be called insiders after they get above 10% in an issue, and any buy/sell should be electronically reported at the same instant it is sold, and this should apply to insiders at all levels. After all, who wants to stay after Elvis has left the building.
This would make them think twice before going over 10% in any one issue, and it should. In addition with modern computer tracking each insider share can be electronically marked and when sold it would show instanter.
