Windsor Court may have to be it. I have never liked the tacky night life of NO. I remember another city as I stood on a balcony in the French Quarter watching the parades. My parents got dressed almost every night and it was like a fairy tale to me. That would be NO in the 50's. I suppose that it shouldn't be tuned into a theme park but a little upgrading wouldn't hurt. Should I stay at the Ponchatrain instead? I lived through Charlie, my husband died from the stress of thinking Ivan would hit us 1 mo. later and I evacuated for Wilma last year. I understand your apprehension as I am living with it myself.
