Enron-Lay gave 1.5 million to Bush over the years. Why stop at three years? Bush was governor taking huge donations from Enron and Lay for many years before that. And he did them plenty of huge favors too, all of which hurt Texas consumers and the environment. If Enron hadn't fallen, it would practically have an office in the White House now and would be directing much of the gouge-a-matic energy policy. Enron went down, but the spirit of Enron remains in the White House and congress.
