Dan3, I guess that would explain the need for only single core for just general office like environments...I can't tell you how many times I wish I had a dual core at home...maybe when applications are written for dual core it will become more apparent...I'm running xp 64 trial version on just an a64 3000+ and it performs quite well for interneting and basic office tasks...what I don't get are all these setups with dual and quad video card setups...seems like a waste of time to me....that's probably why Nvidia is taking a hit in price because with Conroe most people will only need one high quality video card...
