You've said it. In fact, and as the goldbugs have always said, the only non-debasable currency is gold. So the currencies have to devalue against gold -- and they are.

That is why I say if they can kill the gold price, and technically they may be able to do it again (don't forget they did it for +/-25 years), they can restore the USD to its superior, monarchic, imperial status as king of the money castle.

Then the unmolested printing of paper dollars can continue forever and ever. Amen.
