I dont know, I personally can agree with Pres. Bush's program SO LONG as there is MEANINGFUL BORDER ENFORCEMENT and MEANINGFUL EMPLOYER ENFORCEMENT, so long as the road to citizenship is long (12 years I believe the Pres said) and requiring minimums (language, taxes etc.
However, my friend, who is every bit as Republican as I and every bit as educated and experienced is ADAMANT, send all 11 million HOME. I tell him thats probably totally impossible and likely would DAMAGE our economy. He DOESNT CARE, he is VERY stubborn on this issue. jdn
