Almost any distro should do. You might want to use something other than KDE or Gnome as your GUI though. I use Kanotix because it supports more devices, you won't have that problem. I am partial to Debian these says. The repositories are a great way to keep up with the latest software.

Try either the Light or Icewm versions of Morphix
