Yes.. it's a real tragedy.. But it's also a hopeful sign that Iranian youths are fed up and preparing to confront the current government. You would think with the ruthless beatings and blood everywhere they could come up with some better pictures.... memri.org [Bottom of the page] Doesn't it seem odd that anti-regime phrases would be: "We don't want nuclear energy" and "Forget Palestine - think of us." The first one [nuclear energy] when that occurs in our country, you would call them a bunch of tree hugging environmental whackos. The second one...."Forget Palestine.." is just really weird. ... Suppose the US had a demonstration where the university protestors held up signs..."Forget Darfur - think of us." Would you be calling them: "Incredibly brave youngsters"? If the students had signs saying "Forget Palesine - think of us." I would expect a more likely scenario would be the Iranian population would tear the demonstrators to pieces. I find both of those slogans to be so odd, I think an independent translator of the signs would be desirable. jttmab
