Short term capital gains are taxed at the MARGINAL TAX RATE. (40% to 50%) Long term capital gains - AIN'T. i.e. 15%. These NON-PRINTED about investors have two family incomes and their marginal tax rate influences their investing logic ... Characteristically (including me) at least 7 investors in CMM: are married .... over 45 years old ..... have TWO working adults in their family (i.e. mom and dad) ergo - they are in CMM for the long term. i.e. even longer than 12 months ..... frustrated, frustrating, venting, negatives posts on SH do not matter ..... All that matters is Earnings After Taxes ... In this regard .... (we'll do $5.0 million EAT this coming quarter and $6.3 million next quarter - subject to - ) Does CMM have to book a tax provision? If so, my numbers are overstated and .... Can gold hang at an average of $700 July thru Sep? Historically the seasonal low point for gold prices per the 15 year and 30 year chart is August ... However, these charts have been severely violated in March, - hisorically 2nd low point - but reached new high April, - reached new high and May - gold buff wisdom says take the month off but gold hit $720 and the bank of England (obviously) jumped all over metals to kill thenm off and help London Metals Exchange To summarize .... and I can't prove this .... CMM has new investors whose mindset is more along the lines of SCION .... and I suspect we are in the majority ... regards, John
