RE:"Why does Intel have to control the benchmarking environment? It is not an objective review methodology with Intel controlling the systems and software. Credibility is seriously in question."

How many years have we been saying that?

Intels marketing machine is in full swing. They are in desperation mode. The journalists don't even know they are the pawns.

Not only does Intel fudge the benchmarks but now they pre-release the fudged benchmarks 6 months or more in advance.
It's tough to be behind I guess.

I seriously doubt cornholios release will be smooth. It's desperate and it's rushed. Maybe it finds desktop machines by the Christmas selling season. Maybe not.

All I can say is that if Cornholio is late or a dud, things will get a whole lot worse for Intel, especially on the credibility end. Otellini will have take Intel to new lows.
