what's the alternative, race-based little fiefdoms with a welfare mentality ... it's not where we want to go.
But it is where we already are. Isolated little gulags of people who are able to sit on picket lines or occupy property for months at a time, with no discernable financial hardship.
And this latest dispute, calls into question every single property deed in the area. If the land belonged to the First nations and was improperly transferred, shouldn't we be expect our government to take something more than a casual interest? Now we have a man who has invested 9 million canadian Pesos, for which he has a perfectly good Province of Ontario deed, and he has a horde of Natives sitting on his investment. If the property belongs to the First Nations, give him back his 9 Million and let him go on with his life. If it belongs to him, clear off the Natives, and make the First Nations pay for any and all damages. At 19% which is what the credit cards are charging, the interest on 9 million is going to mount up pretty quickly, and if the deed is worthless, what credibility does our land registry have? The right to property ownership is pretty basic, and if there are 2 or 3 hundred claims in Ontario, no project is more important. |
