Peter I lived a good part of my life in a border town and as I recall there are custom guards at both ends of the USA/Canada border and to blame one side only is IMO not correct. If a smuggler or islam terrorists should enter Canada from a USA border crossing would that be the fault of US customs? Why can't Canada customs check who is coming into the country and why can't the USA do the same thing? Come to think of it I think that most illegal aliens from South America and Mexico come through USA borders to enter Canada...is that the fault of Canada's neighbours to the South who are not being co-operative in preventing " tourists " to pass through their country en route to Canada? :-)
