You have to do what you think is right. You have to do what you can. If what you think is right, others will also see it.


It seems to me that it makes you feel good do do what you think is right. And it pleases you that others may be influenced.

However, you don't have more than a showball's chance in the proverbial place of accomplishing anything beyond feeling good for standing up. So the whole exercise is a feel-good one.

If you apply yourself to something that has a decent probability of success, then you might actually accomplish something so it can be said to be a constructive effort. If you engage in activity that won't accomplish anything other than making you feel good, then it's a feel-good exercise.

There's nothing wrong with feeling good about standing up. It's when you confuse it with working a plan and come to think that you can actually halt global warming by using fluorescent light bulbs that things start to go bonkers.
