Financing difficulties and illiquid shares are fairly typical for the wind here in Canada at the moment. I bought shares in the Income trust Creststreet TSX-CRS.UN. Their IPO was $8.75 Cdn and they are trading below $5 with a 13% dividend paid monthly. Big plans and financial experience but poor initial financial results and some turbine gearbox trouble with Vestas have driven the share price down. I am also into Vector Wind ... TSX Venture - VWE ... Big plans but difficulties with financing because the field is new and unproven in Canada. They are installing the new gearless turbines from Germany but it is hard to get financing at the moment in Canada from the banks.
