"seriously damage our ability to win the war against terrorism" Why do you worry about a trumped-up item? Terrorism does exist, to some extent, of course. Other parties might call terrorists "freedom fighters" or "national liberation movements" or similar. You are SUPPOSED to be made FEARFUL by terrorism. If that titling did not exist, something else would have to be invented, since the RED MENACE has sort of worn out. The "war against terrorism" will NEVER be won, sparking the need for THE LONG WAR. Terrorism will conveniently found to be a menace in parts of the world where there are great ENERGY AND SCARCE COMMODITY RESOURCES. Heard much about the terrorist threat in Rumania, or Hungary? Don't think you will. THE WAR AGAINST DRUGS has been going on for some time now with ever greater resources and no sign of the war being "won". Who benefits from these wars?
