The Green Berets were formed by JFK along with the Peace corps. JFK was our greatest ever president and never would have escalated the war in Vietnam. He also gave us a boom economy with surpluses and ushered in a new hopeful age for the entire world, except a few far rightwing nay-sayers. That corruption which escalated Vietnam came mostly from the heart of Texas, from LBJ, Halliburton (Brown + Root) and then from the rightwing hawks in the Nixon GOP. They were the ones who did it, and they probably had a hand in JFK's murder too, at least a few of them. And now we see Cheney-Halliburton-Bush carrying out a similar misdeed. In fact, some day if JFK hadn't been killed the Cold War would have ended 10-15 years earlier. And think how much money we wasted on the Cold War. Much of that went to profits for the Halliburton types. So now you know why we really fight some of these more wrong-headed wars. Vietnam and Iraq for instance. Both senseless escalations of som,ething which could have been handled in a much smaller tighter cheaper way.
