I'd always been told by Ameritrade that when the US markets are closed, that I can't play even on the Canadian markets. On the chance I'd been misinformed, I entered a couple of small test trades a little while ago, and neither executed. Anyway, all I wanted to buy were BWR warrants, and I need a broker to do that, can't do that online (with only a couple of exceptions like Silver Wheaton regular warrants, which have a 5 letter US pink symbol). And on US holidays, Ameritrade has no brokers working, so I wouldn't be able to buy today anyway.

Perhaps as an old TD WaterHouse customer, you can play Canada today?
