McCain is pro-environment, agrees with Gore on global warming, agrees with Kennedy on immigration, agrees with Kerry on fuel efficiency, is not comfortable with the religious right and has taken them on, opposed the vile smear campaigns Rove ran, is against Bush's abuses of powers, is against Bush's huge deficit spending, is against Cheney's lust for torture, is for stricter campaign-finance reform, is against the Bush-Delay-Abramoff style corruption, and is pro gay rights. If he's pro choice or pro life, I don't know, but he's not strongly either way.
McCain is a moderate-conservative Republican, not at all a Bushie rightwinger.
Also, if McCain were honest, he'd tell you he's much more comfortable working with Kerry than Bush. |
