Some people look at their homes only as investments. I'm not among them. There are other returns for money spent and they count, too. Some people care about the environment and are willing to contribute towards it. I'm not about to disparage or discourage that.

I will look at those soon, too. Not as an investment, although I will weigh the cost. My main interest is in not having another leak in my attic, where the hot water heater is located. I mentioned earlier that I had replaced a light bulb that was filled with water. That was from my furnace. Don't need the hot water heater to leak, too, so I may replace it with a tankless one before I get the place replastered and repainted.
