AMD Advanced Micro volumes appear worse in May; INTC volumes appear better - ThinkEquity (31.65 ) -Update-

ThinkEquity believes volumes for AMD are weaker in May than in April, and think AMD should have trouble even reiterating its guidance at its analyst meeting scheduled for Thursday. They also hear from the channel that INTC's volumes have picked up in May. They say these volumes appear to be driven by very aggressive pricing. Firm continues to be wary of Intel's 2H06 hockey-stick guidance. They think both Intel and AMD are likely to continue to suffer.
