The central bank last month raised its key interest rate to 800 percent to put brakes on spiralling inflation.

Which still makes it a negative real interest rate if inflation is over 1000%.

Mugabe has previously said his government will print money to shore up the economy

Yeah, that's always a good way to deal with hyper-inflation...

Lets just hope there's something left of the economy at the end of Mugabe's regime.
