Catch and release isn't going to work with sharks like a Great White or a Hammerhead. Much less Tigers. It isn't easy to distract their attention from the task of eating you long enough to get the hook out. I certainly wouldn't want to be within several meters of a full grown, live Great White or Hammerhead without some serious armor. Those things are serious about their meals.
