The smearvets don't dare make a single claim anymore, though some diehards amongst them keep trying.

O'Neill and the others haven't backed down from a single claim. So why doesn't Kerry sue them? He has time and money, and he's not trying to keep quiet about the issue - on the contrary, he just brought it up again himself. Why is he afraid to have it brought to a court of law, instead of the friendly pages of the New York Times?

Kerry was not honorably discharged. Of course he was. And the Washington Times investigation (a conversative newspaper) proves it.

I don't know if you actually read the article you linked, but it merely said that there was no evidence of a less than honorable discharge, as had been speculated.

This speculation only happened because Kerry did not sign a Form 180 and release his military records to the public, despite having promised numerous times to do so. To this day, Kerry has not done so. His military records include the date and type of his discharge, so this matter can easily be put to rest.

If the facts are behind Kerry, why doesn't he release his records? John O'Neill, his accuser, has released his records.

What is in there that Kerry does not dare make public?
