AMD Advanced Micro: 40% of Lenovo PCs sold in 2005 used AMD CPUs - Pacific Epoch (30.48 )

Pacific Epoch reports Chinese PC maker Lenovo used the co's CPUs on 40% of the PCs sold in 2005, Lenovo vice-president Xia Lishu told eNet. Xia said that Lenovo may initiate a formal cooperation with the co but currently has no plans to cooperate with the co in its notebook and server products. An Intel (INTC) marketing department spokesperson said that Lenovo's use of the co chip products does not affect its own cooperation with Lenovo and noted that Lenovo is INTC's largest customer in China. According to a co marketing department insider, Lenovo is the co's largest customer in China as well.
